CPF Research Grant Applications Due January 17th

Since 1989, CPF has offered research grants related to cleft and craniofacial anomalies. CPF currently offers five grants totaling $35,000:

  • The Etiology of Cleft Lip/Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies Research Grant ($10,000), supported by the Cleft Palate Foundation
  • The Cleft Lip/Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies Research Grant ($10,000), supported by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of Rosemont, IL
  • The Children’s Craniofacial Association/CPF Research Grant ($5,000), supported by Children’s Craniofacial Association of Dallas, TX and the Cleft Palate Foundation
  • Two Junior Investigator Research Grants ($5,000 each), one supported by Synthes Maxillofacial beginning in 2012, the other by the Cleft Palate Foundation.

The breadth of research topics funded over the past 22 years is quite extensive. Grants are open to applicants who have completed an accredited training program related to a discipline recognized by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA). Application forms are available online. The deadline for applications is January 17, 2012.

ACPA Visiting Scholar Program Applications Due Jan 15th

Through the ACPA Visiting Scholar Program, one individual per year is identified as having the capacity to improve the delivery of team care to his/her local underserved region.  This scholar spends 4-6 weeks in North America, visits cleft and craniofacial centers and attends the ACPA Annual Meeting.  The scholar returns home and uses this experience to improve or establish the delivery of team care in his or her country.

Applications are due January 15, 2012 for the 2013 Visiting Scholar Program. more.
