Goal: 

To define the role(s) of the Craniofacial team PCP in patient management, and to explore challenges faced by PCP's in patient management as well as discuss the education of future "first responders."

Objective: 

Attendees will be able to discuss the role of the PCP in multidisciplinary craniofacial team care, and the development of craniofacial pediatric fellowship programs and programs to educate "first responders."

THE ROLE OF THE PEDIATRIC CARE PROVIDER IN CRANIOFACIAL PATIENT CARE MANAGEMENT
This session is designed to define and promote the role of a Primary Care Provider (PCP) in the multidisciplinary care of patients with cleft and craniofacial malformations.  The varying roles of the PCP on teams across the USA will be discussed.  Discussion of challenges providing primary care during a busy team day, use of the PCP in development of clinical management guidelines, and the development of resident, fellow and "first responder" training will be discussed.
