To provide a forum focused on interdisciplinary research and standards of care related to assessment and treatment of individuals with craniosynostosis.
Attendees will be able to discuss at least three parameters of care considerations related to diagnosis or treatment of individuals with craniosynostosis.

CRANIOSYNOSTOSIS: PARAMETERS FOR DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, AND MANAGEMENT PANEL
Key elements of the parameters of care for persons with craniosynostosis will be presented and discussed. The purpose of this panel is to: 1) stimulate awareness and the development of educational programs about craniosynostosis for the patient, families, and professionals; 2) build consensus for the development of a national database and registry to promote research, especially in the area of outcome studies.
The audience will be able to list the key anatomic features of craniosynostosis as well as the medical, surgical, and psychosocial issues pertinent to the treatment of a patient with craniosynostosis. The audience will also be able to list the key specialists important for the comprehensive evaluation of a patient with craniosynostosis and identify the key time points in the care of a patient. Finally, the listener will be able to formulate an algorithmic plan for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a patient with craniosynostosis and utilize the available referral sources to support the patient’s and the family’s needs.
